About Krutii
My name is Krutii. I’ve been practicing Kathak for the better part of my life; since I was 5, for 14 years. It has transformed me into who I am today, and it would be my honor to have the privilege to share that passion with others in turn. I believe that my experience and expertise in the field give me the necessary competencies to be able to effectively teach others.

I am a Kathak tutor catering to young and adult beginners and novices. I specialize in Jaipur and Lucknow Gharanas. I offer group and private lessons, and am flexible in terms of location. My lesson duration is one hour, though duration is also negotiable. Lessons will always start with Namashkar, then practice in footwork and hand movements. From there, we will move into practicing short compositions (footwork or otherwise), playing to the students' strengths and learning goals. I prefer to start by identifying a student’s learning style, then creating a personalized syllabus based on their learning goals and personality. I’ve been volunteering since 2020 teaching Primary and Secondary School students, and am thus familiar with teaching. I’ve been practicing Kathak for 14 years, since I was 5, and thus have strong roots in the dance. I’ve also performed at many reputable venues, including the Esplanade, Dulwich International School, and the Tessenhohn Country Club.
