About Angela
I am a native English speaker with an excellent grasp of both reading and writing. I love being able to help others improve their skills while still having fun. I have over 40 years of experience as a tutor, both as a student and as an instructor. I'm a former Licensed Practical Nurse and Scrub Nurse, where good communication skills were paramount to keeping patients alive and well. I've worked with both children and adults to improve their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. I believe in making learning fun and enjoyable.

Whether working on literacy skills, reading comprehension or grammar, I like to make lessons fun and enjoyable. After determining what each student's academic level & goal is, we will then use a variety of teaching techniques to meet that goal. Some examples are: visual cues, music, repetition, creative play, etc. Each student will be able to use subjects they enjoy to improve their English skills. These methods work for students of all ages.
