About Ella
I trained as an actor at Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company, which has a bold, authentic and playful approach to performance. Since graduating, I have worked regularly as a freelance drama and singing teacher for Performing Arts schools across London including The Playing Space, Act Out, Stagecoach and Armstrong Speech and Drama.
I also act as an Alumni Ambassador for Fourth Monkey, delivering movement, monologue and clowning workshops in schools across the UK.
I completed grades 1-8 in LAMDA Acting exams myself as a young person and so have a lived experience of the process on the student side of things which I believe hugely benefits my teaching when preparing students for examination.
Alongside acting, I have also written and produced my own play as well as acting as an assistant director for a one-woman show at the Park Theatre.
I have an enhanced DBS Certificate.

Below is an example of the structure of a typical LAMDA tutoring session, which is of course flexible depending on students needs and proximity to examination;
5 minute check in and reflection on progress since last week's session
5 minute physical and vocal warmup designed in collaboration with my student(s) and the requirements for their pieces
5 minute imagination games/ exploration based on reflection from student/previous week's work. (eg. developing a physicality for a character, world building or line learning skills)
10 minute sharing of pieces
15 minutes working on notes (eg. rehearsing blocking/gestures, clarifying shifts/moments in the scene or diction/volume)
5 minutes goal setting/homework for next week
I am experienced in preparing students ages 6-18 in Acting Solo/Duologue/Combined, Verse and Prose and Speaking in Public across all grades.

I cannot recommend Ella enough as an acting coach, particularly for the rigorous and highly regarded LAMDA examinations. Ella, herself, has been awarded distinctions in a range of acting examinations throughout all levels and up to Level 8 (Gold Award). Ella is a skilled actress, has outstanding theatrical knowledge and is an excellent teacher. Knowing the LAMDA specifications inside out helps her guide her students in ensuring they can work towards success. Personable, attentive and professional Ella is most certainly a "trustworthy tutor".

Sessions are actually set at 45 minutes to have a more focused and impactful session. (Of course this can be flexible if needed) and it is 25 pounds for 45 minutes but Superprof only offers an hourly rate.
