About Holly
I am a language instructor with a Masters from Columbia in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and a Bachelors Degree from Stony Brook University in English Literature.
I speak English and Spanish. I have worked as a writing tutor since 2016 and have completed multiple independent research projects in the field of English.
Additionally, I have experience as a ballet and jazz dance instructor for children.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the idea that good teaching stems from strong relationships. I seek to incorporate the personalities, needs, and desires of my students into my lessons so that the material is meaningful to them. I give lessons to students of all ages, from children to adults, as I have experience working with both. My strongest areas are writing academic essays, personal statements, and writing for standardized tests. Working with speakers of other languages is also one of my main strengths.
