Using self-taught methods, I learned how to quickly learn languages to fluency in the course of 3-6 weeks and also how to pronounce them correctly in everyday speech. I learned that the ability to speak with a local accent can generate higher levels of trust among communities, and can make one appear less clueless and more in control, while traveling.
