About Amisha
I have achieved seven Grade 9s at GCSE level, including English Literature and English Language. My GCSE grades gave me entrance to one of the top grammar schools in the country and at the end of sixth form, I achieved 2A*s (including English Literature) and an A in my A Level exams. I have now graduated from the University of Warwick with a law degree and therefore, I have expanded my knowledge on essay writing and this will be used appropriately to help my students achieve the top grades. I also have three years of experience tutoring English and will be starting teacher training in September 2026.

Our first session will involve discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the student and how we can address these together in future sessions. We will also discuss the student’s goals and how we can achieve this through tutoring. After this, each lesson will be carefully planned to ensure the goals can be met and after teaching, we will go though practice questions to see what the student has done well and what can be improved. The key to success in English is not just content, it is also understanding what an examiner is expecting the student to write. To achieve this, we will go through the specification and mark scheme together to ensure the best grade can be achieved.
