About Manini
I have been tutoring students one-to-one since I was in Year 10, but have been involved in education as a tutoring assistant since I was in Year 8, so I have a lot of experience with understanding a student's needs and how to cater lessons to optimize learning. Once I meet a new student, I make it a point to focus on what they feel they need to improve on, and try an build confidence at the same time, as I believe it is very important to self-evaluate, but also ultimately enjoy the subject.
To me, English is a very interesting subject, and I always aim to pass this passion on to my students: my interest in literature started at a young age, as I love to read. This means that I also especially enjoyed English in school, as it catered to my interests very well, and I did very well at both GCSE and A Level, therefore I am well-versed in exam technique and the practice needed to feel confident in coursework and exams.
I did my exams under the WJEC board, but have also taught under many other exam boards, so rest assured I can cater to your needs and goals.

I am a Law graduate, starting my Master's in Law this September. I studied English Literature until A Level and tutored through university.
I tutor mostly Primary School, GCSE and some A Level students, and my lessons focus on understanding content as well as exam technique.
I like to approach lessons with a set plan, and to identify specific areas to work on before considering topics as a whole. For example, if essay writing is a weakness, I determine which aspects are causing problems, then create lesson plans to cater to that need. After doing so, I broaden the scope of the work, and focus on any other problems that may persist. Through this methodology I hope to keep the student on top of their work, and increase their confidence and enjoyment.
Student involvement is a priority for me, therefore I keep myself approachable and open to new methods of learning; I am adaptable and easily available to contact with any queries or concerns.
