About Tanya
I am passionate and enjoy teaching others. It brings me much joy when I help a student finally come to understand something they were struggling with.
I have experience tutoring students of different ages for a variety of subjects. As a second year student currently studying Law at the University of Oxford, I am also able to understand and relate personally to the needs of students.
I achieved 3A*s (Maths, Geography, EPQ) and 1A (History) in my A-Levels and 10A*s (incl. Maths) in my (I)GCSEs.

To best match my student's needs, I ask them what they would like to focus on before our lesson and plan that session accordingly. This is usually a topic or concept, but can also be on exam techniques or past paper questions and more. During the lesson, I tend to start with an overview of the topic/concept/etc we are focusing on for the lesson, then dive deeper to ensure my student has a strong grasp of that topic/concept/etc. Afterwards, we usually look at some relevant questions to fill in any gaps in my student's understanding and see how the topics/concepts/etc are applied in exams. However, yet again, this is just the structure that tends to be most effective and am more than happy to structure lessons differently to accommodate different students' needs.
