About Lara
Hi, I’m Lara! I’m a second-year law student at UCD, working toward my Bachelor of Civil Law with a degree in Law with Philosophy. I also earned an International Baccalaureate diploma with first-class honors - so you could say I’m a bit of a nerd! For the past five years, I’ve been an English tutor, working with students from all backgrounds. I tailor each lesson to fit my students’ individual needs, ensuring they get the most out of our time together. Whether you’re learning English for the first time, have a learning disability, or just need help refining your essay-writing skills, I’m here to help. My goal is to make learning engaging, accessible, and enjoyable - and maybe even show you that reading can be fun!

I have five years of tutoring experience, teaching students from diverse backgrounds. I teach 1-hour long lessons either online or in-person in the following areas:
Reading & Writing for Young Learners (ages 4-8) – Helping children build strong literacy skills.
English for All Levels – From beginners to advanced speakers, I provide structured lessons to improve fluency.
Essay Writing Support (ages 12-17) – IB, Leaving Cert, and AP students can get guidance on structuring essays, developing arguments, and refining their writing style.
I tailor lessons to suit each student’s individual needs in a supportive and encouraging environment.
