About Ramya Chethan
Born in a traditional family of musicians. Her grandfather Vidwan Harmonium S.Bheema Rao was a grest violin and harmonium vidwan who was the disciple of great maestro Vidwan Bidaram Krishnappa. Her father, a well known Violinist and Harmonium vidwan Nadajyothi B.Raghuram, mother Veena Vidushi Hema Raghuram.
Ramya, a child prodigy, started learning violin and karnatic classical vocal at an early age of 3 under the unique guidance of her father. She started giving concerts with her father as well as solo concerts at the age of 7. She attained proficiency in music at a tender age of 12.
She started receiving Scholarship during the year 1999, for her extraordinary talent in music by CCRT, govt. of india for over 9 years.
She has won several prizes in the inter-school, inter-college music compititions and Prathibha Puraskara from Dept. of Kannada and Culture, Govt. of Karnataka, Karnataka Sangeetha Nruthya Academy, Rangapriya Samskruthika Vedike and many more.
Several CDs of her playing with her father have been released. These CDs are well received by music lovers and critics.
She has also performed for Dooradarshan and All India Radio for Children’s program and Youth program.
She has accompanied her father and many other well known artists and toured all over India for concerts.

Teaching Carnatic classical music in Violin, vocal and keyboard for any age group starting from the age of 5. Individual classes are conducted twice a week or once a week depending on students requirements. Lessons will be thought from fundamentals till the students get the expertise on it. Students are allowed to take junior, senior and vidwath exams conducted by Karnataka university.
