About Marcus
I am a Master’s-qualified (Level 7) lecturer, producer, and engineer with over 20 years of professional experience in the music industry. Alongside my academic background in education, I’ve built a career working across artist projects, commercial media, and major labels, with releases on Warner 679, Anjunadeep, Swing City Records, and Jalapeño Records, and credits including BBC, FIFA, Jaykae, and Local. I teach because I believe music technology and production are best learned through a balance of creative freedom, technical precision, and real-world context. Too often, students are taught software without understanding how the industry actually works. My aim is to bridge that gap—helping students develop not only strong production skills, but also professional workflows, critical listening, and the confidence to make creative decisions that stand up in commercial and academic environments. As a lecturer, I bring structure, clarity, and proven teaching methods to every session, while my industry experience ensures everything you learn is current, relevant, and practical.
