Hello! I’m an enthusiastic and friendly polyglot and a native speaker of Russian. I offer online Russian lessons for complete beginners. In my lessons we work on all the essential skills:

Whether you are starting from zero, want to improve your pronunciation, or aim to speak more confidently and fluently – we will work on it step by step. My teaching style is patient, clear and motivating. As a native speaker, I can explain exactly how the language really works and sounds, including the typical difficulties for English speakers. Besides Russian, I also speak Dutch (native), English (C2), German (B1), French (B1) and Spanish (A2). This multilingual background helps me explain tricky points in a clear and accessible way.

Elmira is my daughter, and of course one only ever speaks highly of one’s children. That said, I can confirm that she is extremely precise and patient whenever she explains something to someone. She often helps me with my Dutch, for example. She not only excels in languages; she also knows a great deal about literature and art, and she loves sharing interesting little facts.
I took private violin lessons with her for two years, starting completely from scratch. That’s no easy task when you’re 35… She taught me the basics, and thanks to her I can now practise on my own at home. Elmira is very kind and calm, and it was a real pleasure to have lessons with her.
