About Savannah
I am a homeschool graduate passionate about learning and education. I’m intensely curious and love learning about the world. It is my goal as a tutor and teacher to inspire students to have the same passion for learning. Literature is a fascinating subject to study as it reveals the age-old questions and problems that we all wrestle with. The adventures of Odysseus may not seem very relevant today, but his story can actually make us examine our own lives. And although composition can seem full of arbitrary rules, it is really about learning to communicate effectively with others. Everyone wants to be able to share their thoughts and ideas in the most impactful way possible.

As a self-directed learner myself, I prioritize finding a method of learning that is most effective for each student. I help students develop systems of processing and visualizing information that works for them. I am not a tutor to just help a student pass a test—my goal is to mentor students in developing a process for learning and retaining information. This is a skill that is highly valuable, not just in school, but in the rest of life.
