About Geetika P
I began learning dance at the age of 5, and since then Kathak has become more than an art form for me, it’s a way of understanding life, rhythm, and emotions. I truly love sharing the beauty of this classical dance with my students, so they don’t just learn steps, but also learn how to feel, flow, and express themselves through movement. To me, learning Kathak is like flowing in a calm water stream: gentle, natural, and deeply powerful. I will guide you to enjoy every footstep you take, connect with the music, and dance with emotions, because Kathak is not just a dance… it is a dance of emotions and storytelling.

In my Kathak classes, I don’t just teach steps, I teach the meaning behind every move. Each hand gesture, eye movement, turn, and footwork has an emotion and a story attached to it, and I help you understand that so your dance becomes expressive, not robotic. Kathak is a dance of emotions, and my goal is to make you feel the rhythm, not just count it.
My classes are open for everyone, from complete beginners to advanced dancers (even if you belong to another dance form and want to learn Kathak). I strongly believe ABCD is real, anybody can dance, and you can start at any age. I’ve taught students from 4 years to 62 years, and I welcome boys, girls, men, women, everyone, because art has no age and no boundary.
For students who already know Kathak, I focus on refinement, polishing, and improvement. I am a keen observer and very patient, so I notice even small details like posture, wrist softness, expression, timing, and grace, and help you upgrade your overall stage presence. And yes, I also teach Kathak on songs of your choice, so you can learn traditionally while enjoying your favorite music too.

Perfect! Geetika Mam is a rare diamond who turns her students into diamonds by slowly polishing their skills such as focusing on their strengths. She uses various methods to get them reach upto their optimum potential without them knowing it which makes it much easier for them to grasp the roots of Kathak. My daughter was blessed to be taught by a wise teacher even though it was for a brief period. She is amongst a rare breed of GURUs who imparts knowledge at affordable rates and a dedicated sister figure who tries to bond with the child or adult by coming down to the student's level in order to understand their capacity. Personal attention is given to each student as well as the freedom to ask their doubts and get their queries answered. Only condition is that you have follow her rules strictly. Geetika is super talented, she sometimes even cooks for my son when he's hungry, my son is very cunning and spoiled but she still manages to make him study. We're soo glad we found her.
