About Fateen
I am 17 years old this year and will be starting Poly in April. I have always been proficient and strong in Malay. I am passionate about language, humanities and storytelling! I wish to study Film and create media that people can connect with.
My Qualifications:
PSLE: ML AL1
O Levels: ML A1 DIST, HML B3 MERIT
Prelims: MLIT A1
Awards: Pena Emasku (GOLD x2). Saya Boleh Mengarang (GOLD).
Experiences: Overseas Immersion Programme (Kedah/Penang, 2023 & Surabaya, 2024). EMAS Programme (2022-2023), MLEP (2024-2025). Attended various ML/HML/MLIT Workshops by local writers.
I tutor BM voluntarily with muda.sg :) I also have experience teaching my brother with ASD and would love to work with SPED students !

I make learning Malay fun by integrating games, songs & movies into an academic setting. I specialise in writing and speaking (karangan & lisan). Lessons will also expose the student to vast Malay culture and history in order to invoke appreciation as well as pride in our community !
Beginning with the foundation... Imbuhan, Pembinaan Ayat, Kata/Frasa, dll.
To the intermediate stage... Peribahasa, Frasa Berbunga, Perbualan, dll.
Then to the advanced stage... Penanda Wacana, Mengarang, Menjawab Soalan & Membina Dialog, dll.
I introduce mediums like poetry, news articles and text analysis to help students have a firm grasp on this beautiful language :)
I can also help with Kesusasteraan Melayu! I have never taught BM, but I myself have been coached one-on-one to master it. I apply the tactics that I have learnt and collected throughout my ten years of studying BM to my lesson plan.
No worries if you can't speak BM at all! I am fluent in English and can help you build your skills from the ground up.
