About Rona
Hello! I’m Rona , a Licensed Professional Teacher specializing in Mathematics. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Mathematics Education. I also teach Mathematics at the university level, giving me experience working with learners from different academic backgrounds and learning needs.
I believe that Mathematics becomes easier when concepts are explained clearly and connected to real-life situations. As a tutor, I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace.
My teaching focuses not only on getting the correct answer but also on understanding the process and developing strong problem-solving skills. Whether you need help with a specific topic, want to improve your academic performance, or are preparing for an examination, I will tailor our lessons to your goals and learning style.
Let’s make Mathematics simpler, more understandable, and more enjoyable together!

My Teaching Approach
As a Mathematics educator and university teacher, I believe that learning mathematics should be clear, meaningful, and engaging—not intimidating. My approach is student-centered, where I adjust my teaching strategies based on the learner’s level, learning pace, and specific needs.
Teaching Methods and Techniques
I use a combination of conceptual explanation, guided practice, problem-solving, visual representations, real-life applications, and interactive questioning. I don't simply provide formulas or answers. Instead, I help students understand why a mathematical concept works and how to apply it correctly.
For difficult topics, I break complex problems into smaller, manageable steps and provide examples before gradually allowing students to solve problems independently. I also encourage students to ask questions and explain their reasoning so I can identify misconceptions and strengthen their understanding.
Typical Lesson Structure
A typical lesson begins with a short review or diagnostic activity to determine what the student already knows. I then introduce the new concept using simple explanations and examples, followed by guided practice where we solve problems together. After that, the student works on progressively more challenging exercises independently while I provide feedback and clarification. Each lesson ends with a short recap and practice task to reinforce learning.
What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart is my ability to combine academic knowledge with actual university teaching experience. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education major in Mathematics, I am a licensed professional teacher, and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Mathematics Education. This background allows me to teach not only the procedures but also the reasoning behind mathematical concepts.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and developing confidence in mathematics.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for elementary, junior high school, senior high school, and college students, particularly learners who need support in Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and other related mathematics subjects.
I also welcome students preparing for examinations, entrance tests, academic assessments, or specific topics they find challenging. Lessons can be customized according to the student's academic level, goals, and pace of learning.
