About Arindam
I am Arindam Mukherjee, a documentary photographer and photojournalist with more than 25 years of experience in photography and visual storytelling. My work has been published in international and Indian publications including BBC, National Geographic, Newsweek, Al Jazeera, The Sunday Times, India Today and The Times of India. After beginning my career in advertising photography, I moved towards long-term documentary work focused on human stories, culture and social issues across India. I also served as a mentor at Pixel Village, guiding aspiring photographers in documentary and street photography. Photography is more than learning camera settings. In my classes, students will learn the basics of photography including exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, composition, lighting and camera handling along with street photography and visual storytelling techniques. Drawing from years of experience in documentary, street and travel photography across India, I teach observation, timing, framing, human interaction and photo editing through practical exercises, photo walks and image reviews. Suitable for beginners as well as photographers who want to develop a stronger visual style and create meaningful photo stories.

Details
My hourly fee covers personalised photography guidance tailored to each student’s level and interests. Classes may include photography basics, camera handling, composition, exposure, street photography techniques, visual storytelling, image editing and portfolio reviews. Offline sessions and photo walks can be arranged separately depending on location and duration. Special mentoring for documentary projects and long-term visual storytelling is also available.
