Hi, I’m a passionate piano tutor with 14 years of experience helping students reach their musical goals. I hold a Licentiate of Music in Piano (LMusA), and I specialize in both technical mastery and creative development. Whether you're preparing for ABRSM, Rockschool, or university-level piano, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. I believe that every student has a unique musical voice, and my goal is to help you discover and develop yours. My lessons focus on technique, expression, theory, and performance skills, tailored to your level and pace. I also love working on improvisation, composition, and musical interpretation, bringing life to every piece you play. I aim to create a positive, encouraging space where students feel confident and inspired. I’ve helped beginners gain strong foundations and advanced players refine their artistry. My piano teaching approach is flexible, creative, and tailored to each student's goals and learning style. I work with students of all levels, helping them grow in skill, confidence, and musical expression. Whether you're preparing for ABRSM or Rockschool exams, studying for A-Levels, or learning just for fun, I adapt my lessons to support your journey.
I include core subjects like music theory, sight-reading, and aural skills in every program to build a strong foundation. I also teach composition, improvisation, and performance techniques to spark creativity and keep lessons engaging. Students interested in jazz or pop styles receive focused guidance on chord progressions, rhythmic freedom, and expressive playing.
For those drawn to modern or performance-based paths, I teach how to interpret lead sheets, create arrangements, and build stage confidence. I also bring in music history and context to help students understand the pieces they play. My lessons are structured yet enjoyable, blending technical growth with artistic exploration.
