About Iraís
I’m a native Spanish speaker from Mexico with a background in marketing and creative industries. I love helping people feel more confident speaking Spanish through real conversations, everyday expressions, and practical language you can actually use at work and in daily life.

My approach is practical, conversational, and focused on helping you use Spanish naturally in real-life situations. Rather than relying heavily on textbook exercises, I teach Spanish through the kinds of conversations you are actually likely to have — at work, while traveling, meeting new people, presenting an idea, or simply having an everyday conversation.
My teaching method
I combine conversation practice, real-life scenarios, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar in context. Grammar is still important, but instead of treating it as the main objective, I use it as a tool to help you communicate more clearly and confidently.
We will work with roleplays, spontaneous conversations, corrections, useful expressions, and examples of how native speakers — particularly in Mexico — actually communicate.
I also like to show students the difference between what is grammatically correct and what sounds natural.
For example:
Correct: “Quiero conocer tu opinión.”
More natural in a work conversation: “Me gustaría saber cómo lo ves.”
A typical lesson
A lesson will usually include:
Warm-up conversation — a natural conversation about your week, work, plans, or something relevant to you.
Real-life topic or scenario — for example, a meeting, presentation, restaurant, networking situation, creative review, or client conversation.
Useful vocabulary and expressions — language you can immediately apply.
Conversation or roleplay — putting the language into practice rather than simply memorizing it.
Corrections and refinement — we review pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and especially how to make your Spanish sound more natural.
Key takeaways — expressions and improvements you can continue using after the lesson.
Lessons can also be adapted around your specific goals, profession, upcoming meetings, trips, presentations, or situations where you know you will need Spanish.
What sets me apart
I am a native Mexican Spanish speaker with professional experience in business, advertising, marketing, content creation, and creative production.
This means I can help you go beyond general Spanish and understand how people actually communicate in professional environments — from presenting ideas and giving feedback to participating in meetings, communicating with clients, discussing campaigns, or navigating everyday workplace conversations.
I can also help you understand Mexican expressions, cultural nuances, tone, and the subtle differences between sounding technically correct and sounding natural.
My goal is not for you to speak like a textbook. It is for you to feel increasingly comfortable expressing your own personality in Spanish.
Who my lessons are for
My lessons are especially suitable for adult learners, professionals, university students, expats, travelers, and people working in international environments.
They are particularly useful for students who already have some knowledge of Spanish but want to improve their:
Conversation and fluency
Confidence when speaking
Mexican Spanish and everyday expressions
Business Spanish
Marketing and creative-industry vocabulary
Presentations and meetings
Professional communication
Pronunciation and natural phrasing
I can adapt lessons from beginner to advanced levels, but my approach is particularly valuable for intermediate and advanced students who understand Spanish but still hesitate when it is time to actually speak it.
The objective is simple: less textbook Spanish, more Spanish you can confidently use in real life.
