About Didem
I am a dedicated science teacher with a strong background in special education. Having graduated with high honors and gained years of classroom experience, I bring a well-rounded approach to teaching. I love making lessons interactive and hands-on by using tools like Canva, Kahoot, Padlet, Nearpod, and Wordwall. I put a big emphasis on experiments and real-life exploration, helping students connect scientific concepts to the world around them. Whether it’s through lab activities, group projects, or visual simulations, I make sure learning is both engaging and meaningful. My training spans STEM, public speaking, and entrepreneurship, and I’ve had the chance to participate in international Erasmus+ projects that shaped my global teaching perspective. I’m committed to continuous growth and always strive to give every student the support they need to succeed in science and beyond.

In my science lessons, I use interactive and hands-on methods to make sure students deeply understand each topic. I start with a short introduction to spark curiosity, then bring abstract ideas to life using tools like PhET Colorado and Stellarium, which are especially powerful for exploring astronomy or chemical reactions.
To encourage active learning, I include group projects and in-class activities, such as conducting experiments in the lab or designing posters with Canva. For review and reinforcement, I integrate game-based platforms like Kahoot and Quizizz, making assessment fun while strengthening long-term understanding.
By blending experiments, creativity, and technology, I help students not only learn science but truly experience it.
