About Christopher
I have been studying the voice (and the teaching of the voice) for the majority of my life! My teaching style borrows a lot from both classical bel canto technique and more modern schools of thought, like Speech Level Singing (the same vocal techniques used by Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and more!).
I have performed in multiple award-winning vocal groups, musical theater productions, and choirs over the past 10+ years and have been teaching voice lessons since I was in high school.
I love seeing students grow and have been able to coach some students from never ever trying to sing before to performing freely.

My lessons are always personalized to the student and their goals, whether that be to sound better at karaoke or sell out stadiums.
The typical structure is as follows:
- Warm-ups and technique: Here, we'll explore your voice in a safe environment. I will plan out exercises that will expand your range, build your musicality, and teach you what to listen for in your own singing.
- Song work: Next, we'll apply our techniques to a song! You can either choose a song or I'll suggest some that will fit your range. We'll focus on pitch, flow, diction, registers, breathing, and developing your style.

Chris helped me go from a D to an A in data structures!
