About Suri
I am a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and hold a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on voice. My passion lies in bringing voices together through choirs, vocal ensembles, and group harmony work. I specialize in Classical, Sacred, A Cappella, and Barbershop styles, helping singers build both skill and confidence. Much of my work centers around training in sight singing, solfège, and part-singing, essential tools for any ensemble singer. I guide students in developing a strong choral blend, listening skills, and musical sensitivity. My rehearsals are structured yet engaging, with a focus on vocal health and ensemble unity. I’ve successfully worked with school choirs, college vocal groups, and community singing ensembles of all sizes. Leading rehearsals, preparing for performances, and fostering group connection are all part of my approach. I also teach the importance of breath support, tone control, and posture for expressive, accurate singing. Each session is a mix of technical training and joyful music-making. I create a space where students can grow vocally while enjoying the shared energy of group singing. Whether you're just starting or looking to refine your ensemble skills, I’d love to help you discover the joy of singing together.

My teaching method for The Quartet Player and The Fiddler focuses on building strong stage confidence and expressive performance skills. I guide students through microphone techniques, helping them understand proximity, projection, and clarity on stage. Breath control, clear diction, and correct posture are central to delivering powerful live performances. We work on connecting with the audience—using eye contact, gestures, and vocal tone to create lasting impact. Curated song choices match each student’s vocal range and personality, encouraging authenticity and emotional connection. Movement exercises help students feel comfortable in their body while performing, enhancing natural charisma. To boost self-awareness, I use video feedback so students can observe and refine their stage presence. We also do stage presence drills that simulate real performance situations. Vocal stamina apps are included to support consistent practice and endurance. Confidence is not built overnight, but with the right tools and mindset, it grows steadily. Both The Quartet Player and The Fiddler will learn to own the stage with grace and intention. I help them turn nerves into energy and self-doubt into belief. Every session is a step toward becoming a bold, expressive, and unforgettable performer.
