About Mali
I’m a dedicated singing tutor with 10 years of experience helping students find their voice and grow as confident performers. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music, and I specialize in Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country singing. My teaching style is both structured and flexible, designed to meet the unique needs of each student. I believe that great singing comes from a mix of strong technique and emotional connection. My lessons include vocal warm-ups, breath control, ear training, and pitch accuracy. I also guide students through harmony work, improvisation, and essential music theory to build a well-rounded foundation. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced vocalist, I tailor each session to support your growth and goals. I place a strong focus on vocal health, stage presence, and performance confidence. We work together on repertoire that suits your style while expanding your musical abilities. My teaching approach is centered on building confidence, refining pitch accuracy, and unlocking vocal expression. I understand that each singer has a unique journey, especially for those like The Fiddler and The Music Major. These students often come with musical instincts or training, and I use that to shape personalized lessons that match their goals.
We begin with strong foundations—breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, and routines that protect and strengthen vocal health. I guide students through scales and pitch-matching drills to sharpen their ear and improve tonal clarity. Vocal expression is developed through interpretation, dynamics, and emotional delivery, helping each singer tell their story with authenticity.
I introduce tools like ear training apps to fine-tune pitch recognition and use metronomes to build timing and control. Recording devices are also used to track progress and build self-awareness in tone and expression. Lessons include both technique and performance practice, combining discipline with creativity.
I tailor feedback to boost confidence and motivate consistent growth. Whether it's refining harmonies or preparing for auditions, I support each student with structure, encouragement, and a deep respect for their musical voice.
