About Adelyn
Hi! I’m Adelyn, originally from the Dominican Republic and now living in New York. My passion for languages started early, at just 13; I began teaching myself English through YouTube videos, and today I’m fluent. That experience taught me that learning a new language doesn’t have to be intimidating; it can be fun, accessible, and life-changing.
Besides Spanish and English, I’m studying Italian and soon plan to learn Portuguese and French. I know what it’s like to be on the learner’s side, and that helps me make lessons relatable and motivating.
My teaching style is structured yet flexible. I’m highly organized, but I also believe in adapting to your pace and needs. Life happens, and I understand that; what matters most is your interest and consistency. You can always expect a respectful, supportive environment in my classes, where you’ll feel comfortable practicing and making progress every time.
Background & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Logistics & International Business.
- High School Diploma in Nursing.
- Currently training to become a certified medical interpreter in the U.S.

I like to keep classes dynamic by using role plays, short readings, music, and even clips from TV shows, always adding cultural touches from the Dominican Republic and Latin America.
