About Vanessa
I have four years of experience teaching Spanish and hold a Bachelor of Education in Spanish and Languages. I love working with young children, making learning fun through songs, games, puppets, and stories. My lessons are playful and full of colorful props that keep little learners engaged and excited. I focus on building strong pronunciation skills and expanding vocabulary in ways that stick. Memory games are a big part of my teaching, helping kids remember new words while having fun. Interactive storytelling brings the language to life and encourages children to participate actively. I believe that learning a new language at a young age should feel like an adventure. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where kids feel comfortable and curious. I enjoy watching their confidence grow as they explore Spanish in creative ways. My teaching approach focuses on helping students use Spanish confidently in everyday life. I emphasize practical communication, including informal speech, texting language, and common slang. This helps learners sound natural and understand real conversations. We practice useful phrases for daily situations, building social confidence step by step.
I include activities that encourage speaking and listening, so students become comfortable joining conversations. For those new to the language or culture, I provide extra support to ease their adjustment and help them connect with others. Lessons are tailored to individual needs, focusing on what matters most to each student.
I help learners move beyond textbook Spanish to the language people actually use. Building vocabulary and understanding slang is part of making Spanish feel alive and relevant. I encourage regular practice and create a relaxed space where mistakes are part of learning.
Together, we work on making Spanish a useful tool for socializing, working, and enjoying new experiences. My goal is for students to feel ready and excited to use Spanish every day.
