About Ezra
I have lived in Kenya, Canada, Guatemala, and Colombia, and am always looking to expand my worldview and perspectives. I have experience as a private tutor, a group tutor for academic support groups, and an educational assistant in a traditional classroom setting. I always make sure that the student's learning is prioritized in a lesson, even when it means changing my teaching strategies so that the student can learn better.
As for Spanish, I have hopes of achieving certification as a conference interpreter, and I'm actively working toward those goals. My background in Spanish studies and linguistics helps me immensely when planning to teach, because I understand how people of different ages learn languages best.

Curiosity is key when learning a language. I work very closely with each student to determine their goals and build lessons with a variety of activities according to the student's interests. I incorporate as many different media as possible, helping to provide the cultural understanding necessary to effectively communicate in Spanish.
These lessons are targeted at anyone from absolute beginner to university level Spanish, but are mostly targeted at people who want to improve their fluency.
In addition to studying Spanish for over ten years, I have also spent time living in Guatemala and Colombia, and these experiences inform the well-rounded teaching that I offer.
