About Shaina
My name is Shaina Lafontant, I grew up in a Franco-Haitian family and pursued my entire education in a French school, till now. I speak Haitian Creole, French, and English. Freshman in a Community college here in the U.S. Academically speaking, I have a penchant toward the scientific field, particularly biology, mathematics, and chemistry.
I think we always have to interact with other people in life no matter what field of study one chooses. I am confident that learning new languages help in connecting with and staying openminded toward the world around.

The lessons are for student in high school level 10-12 grade, college and university desiring to develop their speaking or writing skill in French. I can work in accordance with your school program. The session are relaxed an enjoyable,I'll do my best to make sure they are. My lesson plan, will vary in function of the student goal. Usually I assigned one topic to be discussed in class, an after my intervention the students must try to speak up and take part in the discussion. The topic are generally interesting and relevant to the course and enable to acquire a number of new vocabulary. One assignment is due every week or so, and one presentation in French. There can occasionally be a film module, where your assignment is to watch a short video or film in French. The tests to track your progress will be mostly oral. A bientot, hopefully.
