About EBRU

I am a passionate and patient native Turkish speaker. I was born and raised in the beautiful, historical city of Istanbul, where I currently live. I believe that learning a language should be an exciting journey into a new culture, not a stressful task.

My academic background is deeply rooted in history and culture. I recently graduated from Istanbul University's Faculty of Theology, and I am currently completing my master's coursework in Islamic Studies, specializing in Hadith at Sakarya University.

As a certified language expert holding a credential from the globally recognized Yunus Emre Institute, I know how to structure lessons effectively. But more importantly, I know exactly what it feels like to learn a new language from scratch! I traveled to Jordan and studied Arabic at the University of Jordan's Institute of Islamic Studies for a month and a half. Experiencing a foreign culture and language firsthand taught me how to be the most supportive, patient, and encouraging tutor for my students.

I love connecting with people from all over the world. In our lessons, you won't just learn vocabulary; you will discover Turkish hospitality, culture, and daily life directly from an Istanbul local. I create a safe and relaxed environment where making mistakes is celebrated—because that's how we learn best!

Grab your tea or coffee, and let's start speaking Turkish. Görüşmek üzere! (See you soon!)

About the lesson

Forget boring grammar drills and translation exercises!

I use the 100% Immersion Method. This means we will speak ONLY Turkish during our lessons, even if you are an absolute beginner.

Sounds scary? It’s not! It is exactly how you learned your native language. By using visual aids, body language, daily-life scenarios, and interactive materials, I ensure you understand everything naturally without relying on a translator.

What you will get:
Maximum Speaking Time: Overcome your fear of making mistakes.
Real-Life Context: Learn how people actually speak in Turkey, not just textbook phrases.
Fast Progress: Train your brain to think directly in Turkish instead of translating in your head.
Whether you are planning a trip to Istanbul, moving to Turkey, or wanting to impress your Turkish partner/friends, my lessons are customized entirely around your goals.
