About Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren Davis — a writer, educator, and content marketing professional with a passion for storytelling paired with a deep love for words and helping others use them powerfully. I’ve been writing for over 25 years and teaching for 16 of those, including time as an English teacher, writing instructor, and instructional coach. I’ve trained other teachers how to teach writing, developed curriculum, and worked one-on-one with students from middle school to graduate level. In addition to teaching, I have 13 years of experience as a copywriter and content marketer, helping businesses and organizations tell their stories, connect with audiences, and drive results. I hold degrees in Creative Writing and Screenwriting, and I’m published in numerous online publications. I specialize in: * Essay writing * Creative writing * Editing and proofreading * Business and marketing writing * Application and scholarship essays * Writing for ESL learners My approach is student-centered, encouraging, and results-driven. I’ll help you gain the skills and confidence to write clearly, creatively, and effectively — no matter your level or goals. Let’s write something great together!

️ Learn to Write with Confidence — from a Published Writer, Teacher, and Marketing Pro! Hi, I’m Lauren Davis, and I help writers of all ages and stages become powerful communicators. With 16 years of classroom teaching experience, 13 years in marketing and copywriting, and over 25 years as a working writer, I bring a unique, real-world approach to teaching writing that’s both effective *and* empowering. Whether you're a middle schooler learning to structure an essay, a college student polishing a thesis, a professional honing your writing voice, or a creative hoping to publish your work — I tailor each lesson to help you write with clarity, purpose, and confidence. My Teaching Method I combine deep expertise in writing craft with real-world applications: * I use guided modeling, Socratic questioning, and scaffolded feedback to grow your skills. * I meet you where you are, then show you what great writing looks like — and how to get there. * I’ve trained teachers how to teach writing, so I know how to break down complex concepts in a way that’s practical and accessible. You’ll learn to: * Organize your ideas clearly * Develop your voice and tone * Strengthen grammar and mechanics * Edit and revise like a pro * Write across genres: essays, creative writing, screenwriting, marketing copy, and more ️ What a Typical Lesson Looks Like Each session is personalized, but here’s the usual flow: 1. Quick skill warm-up (grammar, structure, or technique) 2. Mini-lesson focused on your specific goal (e.g., building tension in narrative writing or structuring a persuasive essay) 3. Hands-on writing or editing practice with real-time feedback 4. Actionable takeaways - so you always know what to work on next I also provide written feedback on drafts between sessions if needed. Who I Teach *Middle school, high school, college students *Graduate students and professionals *Writers preparing for publication *English learners and non-native speakers *Anyone who wants to become a stronger, more confident writer Why Work With Me? * Published in respected online publications * Degree in Creative Writing & Screenwriting * Former Instructional Coach: I taught teachers how to teach writing * Professional copywriter and content strategist * Friendly, patient, and passionate about helping you succeed If you’re ready to transform your writing — let’s get started. I can’t wait to help you find your voice and write your best work.
