About Me I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a PhD in Neuroscience and extensive experience teaching at the University of St Andrews. With a background in pharmacology, neuroscience, and biomedical sciences, I have supported hundreds of students in achieving their academic goals. Hello, I’m Mohamed, a PhD-qualified neuroscientist and experienced university lecturer at St Andrews University with a strong background in neuroscience, pharmacology, and biomedical sciences. My Approach to Tutoring I focus on making complex topics simple and engaging. My sessions are interactive, tailored to each student’s goals, and built around active discussion, real-life examples, and problem-solving. I encourage students to ask questions and think critically rather than just memorising information. Teaching Methods I use a student-centred approach, adapting lessons to individual learning styles. I incorporate a variety of methods: clear explanations, visual aids, practice questions, and structured feedback. Qualifications & Experience - Fellow of the higher education academy (FHEA) - Over 6 years experience in higher education - About 3 years experience at St Andrews University lecturing in Neuroscience.
