About Marielle
While I enjoy keeping lessons playful and fun (as language learning should be!), I am grounded by a deep knowledge and experience with the language. Having graduated from a (francophone) Belgian high school where all of my classes were taught in French, as well as a lengthy study abroad in France during my undergraduate degree, I offer a level of knowledge that encompasses more than academia, but practical understanding as well.

After living and attending school in francophone countries for a total of almost two years, I am excited to take on new students and spread knowledge of my favorite language! I am a native English speaker who started out largely teaching myself French until having the opportunity to study it formally. This specific combination of experience has given me a unique understanding of what is most helpful, intellectually and practically, when it comes to acquiring French fluency from an English speaking starting point.
