About Areeba
I have got my BSc and MSc in genetics, and as a recent school leaver I have many tips and learning methods I used to achieve top grades when I was doing my GCSEs (9s in all of the subjects I offer tutoring for). I currently have six years of experience in teaching the national curriculum for England to students in the UK and in British schools abroad. I teach using a range of methods, starting from basic teaching of the content according to the syllabus, then moving onto making revision aids with my students and finally doing some exam practice to prepare them for their final exams. I specialise in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and Mathematics.

I primarily teach online through self-made PowerPoints which combine content from the revision guides, textbooks and content I have gathered from past papers in the subjects. My teaching style is linear, meaning that I follow the order of the specification. Having said this, I am also open to helping my students with content they are currently learning in school, so we can take a short break from time to time from linear learning if they would like more support with their schoolwork. I am available around the clock for last minute help with homework and revision outside of lesson time, and extra lessons can be provided if need be. I have also made a revision tracker which is available to all of my students free of charge, where they can list all of the topics in the from their specification (found on their respective websites). Students can use this to ensure that they have covered all bases in their revision and they can keep track of which topics they struggled with the most and can revisit them as and when they see fit. I also spend parts of my lessons talking to my students about revision methods and which revision aids would be suited best to each subject topic respectfully, so that they can get the most out of their work. Finally, we also do exam practice through questions in class and topic tests to ensure that all bases have been covered and they are prepared for their final exams.

Areeba helped my son go from a predicted 5 to a final 8 and 9 in the space of a year for Biology and Chemistry GCSE respectively. She tailored all her lessons to what he was doing in school and honestly explained everything in such a straightforward way but still had patience with subjects he struggled more so with. Would definitely recommend, just a shame she does not do A-Levels at the moment.
