About Tom
Hi! I'm a friendly and approachable BSc Biomedicine student at Lancaster University with a strong passion for Biology and science. I achieved an A in A-Level Biology, an A in A-Level Chemistry and an A in A-Level Psychology*, giving me a strong understanding of the subjects and the experience of preparing for A-level examinations.
I understand that everyone learns differently, so I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I enjoy breaking down complicated scientific concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and helping students develop their confidence.
Outside of my studies, I have interests in acting, which have helped me develop my communication, confidence and interpersonal skills.
I'm particularly passionate about helping students understand Biology rather than simply memorising it, while also developing the exam technique needed to achieve the best possible grades.

My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. I aim to make A-Level Biology easier to understand by breaking down difficult topics into simple explanations and using diagrams, examples and exam-style questions.
Lessons can focus on whatever you need most, whether that's learning new content, revising difficult topics, preparing for exams, improving exam technique or working through past papers. I can also help you identify areas where you're losing marks and develop effective revision strategies.
As a current Biomedicine student at Lancaster University, I can relate to the challenges of studying Biology and will work at your pace in a relaxed environment where you can ask questions without feeling pressured.
Whether you're aiming for an A or A*, I'll help you build your knowledge, confidence and exam technique. Lessons are available online, making them flexible and convenient around your school or college timetable.
