About Nicole
Hi, I'm a Dental student at Plymouth with a passion for science, education and helping others achieve their potential. Having achieved A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level, I understand the challenges students face and what it takes to succeed in these subjects.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing the piano and creating art. As a tutor, I find it incredibly rewarding to see students grow in confidence, strengthen their understanding and achieve the grades they are aiming for. My goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students develop the skills and mindset needed to succeed independently.

Who I Teach
I work with motivated Year 12 and Year 13 students who want to strengthen their subject knowledge, improve exam technique, and achieve higher grades.
Teaching Methodology
My lessons are structured around the A-Level specification to ensure every required topic is covered thoroughly and efficiently. I tailor lessons to each student's strengths and areas for improvement, focusing on both understanding and exam performance.
To support progress, I provide homework every two weeks consisting of carefully selected exam-style questions. We then review these together to identify and address any gaps in knowledge.
A strong emphasis is placed on exam technique, including:
Application questions
Mathematical skills
Practical and experimental questions
Extended-response answers
To further challenge students and develop deeper understanding, I also create and use original exam-style questions that are not taken from past papers. This helps students apply their knowledge in unfamiliar contexts rather than relying on repeated exposure to previous questions.
