About Djamila
I am a University student reading Politics and Modern Languages who received an A* in A Level English Literature.
I specialise in a range of texts such as An Inspector Calls (GCSE), Romeo and Juliet (GCSE), Jane Eyre (GCSE), Gothic Novels like Dracula and The Bloody Chamber (AS/A Level), The Tempest (AS/A Level), The Duchess of Malfi (AS/A Level) and The Merchant's Prologue and Tale (AS/A Level). I also achieved an A* in my A Level coursework and would be more than happy to help with the structure and writing of those coursework essays.
I have experience tutoring students of all ages through previous volunteering in primary schools and mentoring programmes with secondary and sixth form students, where I received consistently positive feedback from both students and teachers.

I teach classes that are tailored to the student's needs as I am aware that each person likes to learn differently, with some favouring a rigid structure and others preferring a more informal environment. My lessons are very interactive as I use a range of worksheets and powerpoints to teach as well as regular quizzes to measure a student's progress and assess their strengths and weaknesses. All lessons are tailored to the student's ability and aim to bridge gaps in their learning and increase their confidence in the run up to exams.

I highly recommend Djamila as an English tutor for A Level English Literature.
Her lessons were clearly structured with my weaknesses in mind helping me improve my analysis without wasting time revisiting topics and skills I was already confident in.
I couldn't recommend her more!Djamila is a very friendly person and an excellent tutor. I was struggling to understand aspects of the GCSE Literature course like the poetry analysis and comparison but she explained it in simple terms and helped me understand not only what to write but how to write it. This got me an 8 in my mock exam compared to the 6s I was getting last year and I'm so grateful for her help. I would definitely reccomend her to anyone struggling with English.
Djamila is an incredible tutor. She is engaging, approachable and has vast subject knowledge. I highly recommend her.
She went through the exam questions and helped me to understand exactly what the examiners wanted from me then taught me the easiest way to go about answering them which helped me to improve my grade by several levels in only a few months.
