About Ella
I hold a First Class degree in Biomedical Science with particular expertise in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and molecular and cell biology. My final year research project on stroke pathology and hormone therapy received a First. I also completed advanced literature reviews on neurological conditions and have hands-on experience in anatomy labs and fundamental biomedical laboratory techniques.
Beyond academia, I worked in product development at a healthtech company focused on preventative health digital products, where I regularly translated complex scientific research into accessible material for non-expert audiences. This experience, combined with my academic background, means I excel at making difficult concepts understandable at any level.

My lessons are designed for GCSE and A-Level Biology students who want to build genuine understanding and confidence in the subject. I focus on breaking down complex topics using real-world examples, detailed diagrams, and past exam papers to make biology engaging and relevant to your life.
Each lesson is tailored to your individual needs— I target your weakest areas while reinforcing your strengths. Whether you need structured exam preparation with a planned revision schedule or flexible support on specific topics like human physiology, genetics, or molecular biology, I adapt my approach to help you succeed. Sessions are typically 60 minutes (online, or in-person if you're in Loughborough or Quorn) but can be extended during exam periods when you need extra support.
Having mentored younger students throughout my degree, I understand how to build academic confidence alongside knowledge. My goal is to help you not just pass your exams, but truly understand and enjoy biology.
