About Elijah
I find it inspiring to support a student's learning and I am very understanding that some teaching styles and methods don't fully engage with all people. Relating to this situation, I always wished that teachers would be more sympathetic and offer more individual criticisms and guidance, which in a class full of 30 students, can be difficult. This comprehension of the teacher-student dynamic means I can help individuals and teach them how they wish to be taught. I am very bubbly and enthusiastic, qualities which are mirrored through my teaching philosophy of making lessons enjoyable but also constructive.

My approach to teaching depends on the student. Everyone learns differently, and thus my philosophy is structured around flexibility to adhere to each student's learning style. I make lessons enjoyable but constructive, incorporating modern day teaching methods that involve a combination of technological work as well as book work. Typical lessons will last an hour with half an hour and 90 minute lessons also available. I have experience in tutoring year 6 and year 9 students with learning difficulties and therefore I am very patient, compassionate and understanding. My lessons are for any ages of student up to 18 covering SAT, GCSE and A level standard.
