About Clara
Hi! I’m Clara and I’m currently studying in 6th form at The Latymer School. I take Maths, French & Russian, and I did AS English too. I am predicted to achieve an A* in all of my A level subjects, and I received a Grade 9 in all of my GCSEs - Maths, English Lit & Lang, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, French, Russian and Music. I was accepted into Henrietta Barnett School following the 11+ exam, as well as my current school. I have won awards in the UKMT maths challenges every year, in both individual and team rounds. I plan to study modern languages at university next year, but I also have a passion for maths and the problem solving, and I really love the transferable skills of logic and reasoning that can be applied to both of these fields.

I will tutor students on a personal basis, taking into account their individual needs. I strongly believe that maths is all about strong foundations of key skills and then expanding and applying these key concepts through lots of practice, particularly using exam-style questions. I encourage my students to ask lots of questions, and engage actively with our lessons as we work together through materials and then they practise that content individually with support from me where necessary. As someone who achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Maths and was accepted into Henrietta Barnett School and The Latymer School through the 11+ process, I believe I have the personal experience required to guide your child through these exams, or any level in between, with empathy and aptitude.
