I led and took part in of a variety of clubs since Year 8, including Creative Writing, Debate club and Journalism Club. I also offer Astronomy tuition classes at school.
In Year 9, I continued to be on the Student Board as well as becoming a Science and English Subject Ambassador. In these roles, I acted as a liaison between students and teachers, bringing forward the issues that students felt where holding them back from learning. I helped run Science Week, which was incredibly successful and encouraged students including myself, to pursue an interest in science. In Year 9 I also began the GCSE Astronomy course at Westminster school, which I completed in June 2019, achieving a grade 8. As I am very passionate about Science, especially Physics, I have taken part in many STEM programmes outside of school, including the Girls in Engineering week-long course in Year 9 and the Year 10 Insights into Engineering residential, which both took part in Imperial College London. I was also selected to be part of the Generating Genius programme, which encourages young people to get involved in STEM-related opportunities, such as lectures from Oxford university professors and debating masterclasses.
I have completed my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, which included 6 months of swimming for 30 mins every week, 6 months of volunteering with WPPG, and 9 months of Saxophone lessons.
I also enjoy helping others; I volunteered in a youth club for young people with special educational needs called Caxton Youth club. I am currently designing and organising a youth project with DreamArts which will allow 10 young people aged 11-16 who care for a disabled person in their family to receive free music lessons and an instrument for the duration of 6 months. I also volunteer regularly with WPPG, the parents forum for parents of disabled children in Westminster.

I will go through any subject area the student is struggling with, providing worksheets and textbook practice questions as well as useful knowledge organisers and explanations. As a student myself I know how to keep students engaged and which methods work the best for retaining information and building skills!
