About Rubina
Hi! I'm Rubina, a passionate and dedicated English tutor with a real love for language and helping students grow in confidence. I’ve always loved English — from reading books that made me think deeply, to writing creatively and analysing texts — and I want to help others enjoy it too! I have experience working with children of all ages, especially primary school pupils, and I know how to make learning feel fun, comfortable, and encouraging. Whether your child needs help with reading comprehension, grammar, or creative writing, I’ll break things down clearly and patiently, at their pace. For older students working towards GCSEs, I offer targeted support with essay writing, analysing literature, building strong arguments, and mastering exam techniques. I know how stressful exams can be — I’m here to help reduce that pressure and build real skills and confidence. I personalise every lesson based on the student’s needs and learning style, and I believe in creating a friendly, calm space where asking questions and making mistakes is all part of the process! All of my lessons are one-to-one, so each student gets my full attention and a lesson tailored just for them! I always start by getting to know the student’s current level, what they’re confident in, and what they’d like help with. From there, I design lessons that match their learning style — whether they’re more visual, creative, or need things broken down step-by-step. I like to keep my lessons engaging, supportive, and creative — using games, mind maps, practice questions, short writing tasks, and fun discussions to help ideas stick. I also adjust my pace and style depending on what the student needs on the day — whether that’s focused revision or a confidence boost. Each lesson is personalised, so whether you're working on phonics, reading and writing in primary, or tackling GCSE essays, literature texts, or exam prep, I’ll make sure the lesson supports you in a way that feels manageable and motivating. My goal is always to make learning English less stressful and more enjoyable
