About Amaya
I'm Deputy Head Girl at my sixth form, where I've developed strong communication and leadership skills that I bring directly into my tutoring.
Alongside this, I achieved grades 7–9 across my GCSEs and I have first-hand experience supporting SEND learners.
I'm bubbly, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about helping students enjoy learning rather than dread it. I love using interactive, hands-on techniques to keep lessons engaging, and I tailor every session to how each student learns best.
Reliability and preparation matter a lot to me so you can expect every lesson to be well-planned, patient and focused on real progress.
Outside of tutoring, I'm a big F1 fan- I like to think my love of strategy and problem-solving under pressure carries over into how I approach tricky topics with my students!

My approach is all about adapting to how each student learns best. Some pupils need visual aids and diagrams, others learn better through practice questions and past papers, and some just need concepts broken down step by step at a slower pace.
I mix explanation with interactive activities, regular mini-quizzes to check understanding, and plenty of exam-style practice so students feel confident going into assessments, not just familiar with the content.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, though I can adjust this depending on age and attention span.
Primary-age students often benefit from shorter, more focused sessions with built-in breaks, while GCSE students preparing for exams sometimes prefer longer sessions to work through full past papers.
I'm currently an A-level student who achieved grades 7–9 across my GCSEs, including a Grade 9 in English literature, Language and Religious studies.
I have hands-on experience supporting learners with SEND, and I teach in a patient, encouraging way that focuses on building genuine understanding rather than just memorisation.
I tutor primary-age children (including SATs and 11+ preparation) and GCSE students in English Language & Literature, Psychology, History, Biology and Religious studies, all delivered online.
