About Chelsie
I am a 23 year old mom of two girls. I started becoming interested in tutoring after I had my first daughter & started thinking about what her education will look like when she starts school.
I quickly decided that all my children would be homeschooled when the time comes however, I hadn’t got the chance to experience teaching or leading a child in a tutoring session. That was until I visited my parents for dinner and got the opportunity to help my young 4th grade sister with her math homework.
After her homework was finished and she felt like she had a good understanding of the topic, my parents pulled me aside for a chat. They asked me if I had considered teaching or tutoring because I would be great at it. I explained to them that up until that point, I had only ever thought of teaching my children when it was time for them to start school.
Something that was just an act of kindness & a bonding moment with a sibling, turned into something I have a passion for. Not only am I now confident in homeschooling my children when the time comes, but I am also confident in helping other children overcome their difficultly with one or more subjects/topics.

I take a patient approach when tutoring my students. I believe going with the child at their own pace & allowing them to take lead (to an extent & depending upon the needs of the student) is more beneficial. I feel that this approach allows them to feel in control of their learning (distraction free) & helps motivate them to want to learn more.
