I am a licensed special education teacher in the state of Ohio. I've been teaching and tutoring for three years ranging from one on one, small group, and full class courses. My students went on to pass the ACT and earn high marks on state standard coursework.

I approach each lesson by relating to the student undergoing it. One of the most powerful tools a teacher can have is empathy, and students respond to that. First, I establish where a student's proficiency lies within a given subject. After that, I can see to it that the child has the support they need.
