My Teaching Method and Techniques:
I use a student-centered, communicative approach designed specifically for the middle school brain. I do not lecture; I facilitate.
Task-Based Learning: Students learn English by solving puzzles, planning virtual trips, or creating short presentations.
The 70/30 Rule: The student speaks 70% of the time, and I speak 30%.
Scaffolding: I break down complex grammar into bite-sized visual chunks.
Multi-Modal Tools: I use interactive digital boards, short pop-culture videos, and gamified quizzes to keep attention sharp.
A typical Lesson Plan:
Target Discovery: Introducing the day's grammar or vocabulary through a comic strip, video clip, or real-world text.
Guided Practice: Co-building sentences together, correcting pronunciation errors gently in real-time, and drilling the structure.
Wrap-Up & Shout-outs: A quick review game and positive feedback on exactly what the student did well today.
