About Lucas
I understand math and chemistry can sometimes feel overwhelming. That is why I work hard to create a positive and judgment-free environment. I am patient and dedicated to helping build genuine understanding of complex concepts. My Licensed2Learn tutoring qualification strengthened my ability to support and encourage students with different learning styles and academic needs.
I enjoy seeing the improvement students make from each session and strive to create an environment where my students not only understand the material they are struggling with, but also feel more confident and encouraged in their academics.

My tutoring approach is supportive and patient. I attempt to adapt my teaching methods based on each student's learning style by breaking down difficult problems into manageable steps and creating memory tricks to strengthen understanding of concepts.
A typical lesson includes a quick review of previous material, followed by a check-in on current struggles, which are then broken down and reinforced with practice problems from given homework.
My Licensed2Learn qualification, along with my volunteer and private tutoring experience help set me apart as a patient and supportive tutor for struggling students from grade 8-11.
My experience is primarily with high school students for math and chemistry.
