About Amaan
As a recent Ontario high school graduate, I know firsthand the immense stress that comes with trying to maintain top marks. I developed a toolkit of highly effective study habits that helped me achieve a 92% in Chemistry (SCH4U) and a 96% in Biology (SBI4U).
Additionally, I bring an international perspective to my tutoring, having earned an 'A' in both subjects under the British education system (AS Levels) the prior year.
I am deeply passionate about the sciences, and my goal is to share that enthusiasm with my students, build their academic confidence, and help them truly master the material.

My teaching methodologies include:
- Utilising digital whiteboards via share screening to visualise new concepts.
- Ensuring students better consolidate information through continuous active recall.
- Tailoring my teaching style to best suit my student's goals.
Typical lesson plan:
- Prior to the lesson, I am to be informed on what topic within high school biology is to be discussed.
- Starting the class, I will ask what the student already knows about the topic. Then I will ask what specific difficulty/ they are facing within that topic.
- After going over the concept with them, I will provide practice questions to better consolidate what they have learned.
My stand outs:
- Familiar with both CIE curriculum (IGCSEs, AS Level), as well as Ontario curriculum biology & chemistry
- Familiar with past paper structure and marking schemes for both curriculum.
