About Petra
I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Life Sciences at McMaster University, where I maintain a GPA of 3.9. I completed high school with an overall average of 96%, during which I attained the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, excelling particularly in Biology at the Higher Level (HL) curriculum. Additionally, I successfully completed HL courses in English Lit and Lang A, French Lit and Lang A, along with Standard Level (SL) courses in Chemistry, Math AA, and Psychology. I am fully fluent in both English and French, having attended a French-language school and completing the IB program entirely in French.

I implement a lesson plan regarding (but not limited to) the basic components of cell biology and physiology (i.e. cell theory, organelle functions, anatomic systems and more). These topics can be subject to change depending on the student's needs. I am also happy to help with homework or solving practice problems together. These lessons would be for middle school, high school and/or IB diploma course level.

Petra is the best tutor I have ever had. She was always there to clarify concepts to me especially for calculus. I would not have passed my midterms if it weren’t for her! She simplified concepts so much and encourages me to try my best.
Petra is a distinct molecular biology prof. Her ability to break down complexes processes into simpler to understand components still amazes me. Came so far and will keep doing so knowing I have the best tutor alongside!
Petra and I were classmates in IB Biology, and she always used to give the best explanations to concepts that I didn’t understand. She communicated well and gave great analogies to help explain topics like immunology. She even helped me develop better study habits when preparing for tests!
