About Parmida
Hi! My name is Parmida and I am a third-year student at McMaster University. I started learning English when I was 5 and attended an English Language School for the first six years of my education. But being an immigrant, I had to take the IELTS to prove my proficiency. I have also taken the KET and PET Cambridge English Exams. I am extremely patient and will guide you through your journey of better self-expression in a brand-new language!

I believe the best way to learn English is through conversation. I know for most non-native speakers the trouble comes from not feeling comfortable in conversing due to fearing scrutiny. I plan on providing a judgement-free environment where my students can talk and learn as they go. If they make a mistake I will gently correct them and will praise them when they correctly use a word that they had trouble with in the past.

I’ve known her since highschool and as far as I remember she has always been really professional in English language and helping her classmates who were struggling with english. She takes her time to explain things well and pay attention to her students.Most importantly, she has a really kind personality which makes her not only a great teacher but also a supportive friend.
She is so awesome when it comes to making complex topics easy and fun to understand! I frequently make mistakes but she has the patience and determination to take the time and teach me what I don't understand
