About Tory
A Colorado native, I graduated with honors from Northwestern University in 2004 with a Minor in Hispanic Studies. As of the date of writing, I traveled to over 60 countries, including much of Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America and also Spain and Portugal.
Professional background includes working as a translator (both written and verbal), and teaching all levels of Spanish including for Native Speakers.
I am truly passionate about education. Seeing changes in my clients, how they think and behave, is undeniably the most rewarding life experience I could ever dream.

Coming from a diversified background in education and mentoring, I understand that language acquisition skills require an interdisciplinary approach. This includes (but is not limited to) listening exercises, phonetic pronunciation drills, reading/writing projects, pattern recognition, artistic and entertainment studies and practical application and conversation.
All students have individualized lesson plans to maximize their specific learning styles (audio/visual/tactile/etc.). I am also sensitive to the variety of other factors that may influence a student's ability to learn, and consider different motivations for anyone looking to improve their language acquisition skills.
