About Yuxin
Nihao! My name is Yuxin. Last year, I graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Leeds. I have been teaching Chinese since my undergraduate years and have experience working with learners of different ages and backgrounds.
I 'm working in UK secondary schools, supporting students in classroom learning and providing academic assistance. In addition, I have experience as a teaching assistant at a Chinese school, where I supported Chinese language lessons and helped students develop their listening, speaking, and reading skills.
I have taught both children and adults, adapting lessons to suit different learning goals, including everyday communication, school support, and confidence building in spoken Chinese. I believe effective language learning should be structured, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s needs, and I look forward to supporting you on your Chinese learning journey:)

Perfect! Great tutor, 10/10
Perfect! My learning of Chinese with Yuxin has been a brilliant experience so far. She is supportive and patient and makes all sessions engaging and enjoyable. I have learnt so much in my lessons with her and highly recommend choosing her if you’re interested in learning mandarin

Perfect! Yuxin really has a talent for teaching Mandarin, she has a gift especially with teaching children. My toddler absolutely loves his lessons every week, the lessons are play based and he has picked up so much that he can now count 1-10 in Mandarin and sing a Mandarin nursery rhyme!! Yuxin is an incredible tutor and I would very highly recommend her.
Perfect! I’ve been learning Putonghua with Yuxin for a few months now. She’s an excellent tutor who is very professional, yet also friendly and patient, and there is a relaxed feel to the lessons. She puts a lot of effort into her teaching, creating personalised lesson content and regularly takes notes of areas requiring improvement. Yuxin is an exceptionally patient and attentive teacher who puts in considerable work every week to plan the best lessons I've had. She manages to reach the perfect balance between stretching lessons without being daunting and makes each lesson fun and enjoyable.
Yuxin is a fantastic teacher that paces you and helps yoy learn quickly. She takes her time preparing every session and practices speaking with you regulaely so you become more fluent. She has helped me understand the basics of forming sentemces amd greatly expanded my vocavulary so i can be more fluent. Im very grateful for her as my teacher!
